Gestational Diabetes
Gestational diabetes is
developing a high blood sugar during pregnancy and mostly disappear after
giving birth. It occurs when the body cannot produce enough insulin to meet the
extra needs in pregnancy period. Blood sugar can be reduced through a suitable diet
and exercise during pregnancy. If the glucose is not reducing, the patient will
need to take the medication as tablet or insulin injections. There are some tests
that patient usually follows to check diabetes such as glucose challenge
test and oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT).
